So, Matt and I are getting into writing Cities of Gold and Lead again. Seeing as it was such a rich world, and we've forgotten quite a bit about it, I'm compiling our scanty rememberances for future reference.

The Five Noble Houses of Atlantis

House Rianeo
* One of the oldest Houses in Atlantis
* Known for their talented Conjurers; made their fortune through magic
* Currently well-known for Amaryllis Rianeo, a haughty Conjurer and the love interest of Creon Siromastes

House Siromastes
* One of the newer House of Atlantis
* Known for their talented Conjurers and Generals
* Seen as a threat by House Rianeo
* Current famous members are the Twins: Doros Siromastes, a Conjurer, and Creon Siromastes, love interest of Amaryllis Rianeo

House Asteri
* The oldest House in Atlantis
* Known for producing the greatest Emperors of Atlantis
* Often incurs the jealousy of the other Houses for its lofty position
* Currently in the spotlight for Avel Asteri, the Crown Prince, and Stavros Asteri, the General who was with the Emperor when he died

House Aplistia
* The "Bastard House" of Atlantis
* Known for its formation; its founders were the illegitimate son of an Asteri Emperor and the daughter of the Siromastes patron by his mistress
* Is not otherwise particularly distinguished 

House Aoratos
* A newer House of Atlantis
* Known for its massive possesions of land not in the City itself, often called the "Landlord House"
* Supplies many of the funds for Atlantean ventures
